The Most Effective ways to Increase Lead Generation

Lead generation can be considered to be one of the most pivotal aspects of business profitability.     When someone shows some interest in the services or products that your company provides, it’s imperative to engage with them in a way that turns the prospective customer into a paying customer.

But how do we attract new business using lead generation? The following tips will assist with driving more customers to your business.

  1. Content is Key.

The content you’re providing to consumers is the key factor at play here. It’s important to ensure that the right type of content appeals to the right audience. Helpful, entertaining and relevant information is of the utmost importance when capturing the attention of potential customers. When creating content, you need to think of your leads as people and get into their mindset. This way, targeting their direct needs will be easier and more beneficial to your business.

  1. Hook Prospects with a Strong Call-To-Action.

One way of getting prospects to engage with you is to have a strong call-to-action. Test your calls-to-action to increase their effectiveness. You can try things like: “Yes, I want to find out more” or “Yes, I need assistance with…” which are focused around the topic at hand. You want to spell it out to the prospect. Do you want them to like your page? Or share? Or subscribe? Tell them. Be unique, clear and to the point.

  1. Be Creative with your Capture Form.

Remember, attaining a lead is just one step towards creating revenue for your business. Lead generation is a process and your aim is to create a wonderful journey for the prospective customer. With this in mind one can elaborate a bit more with the call-to-action approach. Once the prospective customer clicks on the link, direct them to a unique Capture Form. Elevate your capture form from the rest of the content on the page. Ideally you need to create a story, where the prospect can fill in the blanks, as opposed to the monotonous filling in of details. For example: “Hi, my name is _____ and I’m looking for assistance with ____. Contact me on ______. Looking forward to your response!” The personalised approach is always better than the cold, conservative echo.

  1. Think like the Prospective Customer.

When tapping into the mindset of your potential customer one should question how this venture will benefit them. A great approach to this analogy would be to give the prospective customer a Content Upgrade, which is a bonus the prospect will receive just for engaging in your offering. The content upgrade could be in the form of a link that leads them directly to your website, a pdf they can download or any other source of information that would provide an additional resource to the topic discussed. This way, prospects feel that they have gained extra value from engaging with your business, ultimately turning prospective customers into paying customers.

With these steps in place, you’ll be sure to increase traffic on your website. A prospect who feels valued will most certainly share their experience with others, and what a good review they would give!
