Protecting Windows Terminal Servers

Organisations with Terminal Servers or Citrix Servers can now use F-Secure Server Protection, in conjunction with F-Secure Remote Desktop Protection licenses, to protect their Terminal/Citrix/Remote Desktop environments. Customers who have used the F-Secure Email and Server Security product to protect these environments in the past can now use F-Secure Server Protection instead, in conjunction with the aforementioned F-Secure Remote Desktop Protection subscriptions.

This client software provides comprehensive protection, which can be managed from the PSB Portal and the customer can also benefit from the many advanced security features present in the product, such as: Application Control, Device Control, Managed Firewall, DataGuard and the ability to schedule tasks.

F-Secure Server Protection is licensed per server and F-Secure Remote Desktop Protection according to the number of concurrent users/devices connecting to the protected server. For example, if a customer has 3 servers they wish to protect and two are normal fileservers with the other a terminal server that provides access for a maximum of 20 concurrent users/devices, then they would need F-Secure Server Protection subscriptions for all three servers and 20 subscriptions for Remote Desktop Protection. Alternatively, if a customer has 3 servers, one of which is a basic fileserver, another a Citrix server with 20 simultaneous users and the third server a Citrix server with 40 simultaneous users, then the customer will need to purchase 1 subscription of F-Secure Server Protection for the fileserver, 2 subscriptions of F-Secure Server Protection for the Citrix servers and 60 subscriptions of F-Secure Remote Desktop Protection to cover the usage.
